BDD/DD Dads' Group

Description of our program:
The Dads’ Group is a program of the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities and is designed for any father raising a child with a disability or developmental delay between the ages of birth to 5 years old in Cuyahoga County.

The Dads’ Group usually meets on the last Wednesday of the month from 6:00-7:30 at the William Patrick Day Early Childhood Center located at 2421 Community College Ave (44115). The dads and children enjoy an evening of splashing and fun in our heated indoor pool followed by a pizza dinner and will get to take home and keep free children’s picture books to encourage early literacy interactions between fathers and children. At the Dads’ Group fathers will meet other fathers who are raising a young child with a disability, learn about child development milestones, and practice new strategies to play and communicate successfully with their child. There is no fee for joining the Dads’ Group.
